This quality tea is grown in the Kenyan highlands, an extensive area covering both sides of the Rift Valley between Mount Kenya and Lake Victoria. These highlands range in altitude from 5,000 to 9,000 feet and enjoy copious rainfall. Kenya Marinyn has a reddish-black leaf and brews dark and hearty, with a sort of sweetness to the fragrance and flavor. Use 1 generous tsp. dried leaf (3-4g) per 6-ounce cup of spring water heated to just below boiling (212). Pour hot water over leaves and steep 4 minutes.
