Hanuman with Mace

This Indian Hanuman is made of aluminum with a resin core and bronze patina with silver highlights.  He kneels on one knee with his right hand raised in the Abhaya Mudra, or gesture of protection.  In his left hand he holds across his chest a silver mace, a common weapon of many cultures. Hanuman's arms are festooned with etched bracelets and armbands; an elaborate jeweled necklace adorns his chest. About his loins is tied a cloth in a simple knot; a Mukha, or ritual crown, graces his simian head. From his crowned monkey head radiates a flaming silver aura like the sun. (12" high)
