Here is an organic, pre-Qing Ming tea from Enshi in Hubei, finished before April 5th, 2018. This special grade tea is machine shaped (!). The Chinese name translates to "green needles" even though they do not resemble needle-like green teas seen elsewhere. Please do take a whiff when you open the bag to savor the intense fresh green aroma. We suggest that you scald/rinse your mug or bowl with hot water, add the dry leaves, shake them a bit, then smell the leaves before pouring in hot water -- heavenly! The suggested brewing temperature can be high, 90-95°C (194-203°F) and no lid is needed on the gaiwan.* Allow about a minute for the first infusion, and the tea should yield 3 infusions, all with brief steeping times.

*Yixing clay pot is not recommended as it keeps the water too hot. Typically, this type of tea is brewed in a glass or glass pot, all the better for viewing the leaves.
