Established in 1859, Makaibari Tea Estates is not only 100 percent organic, but also the world's only biodynamically cultivated tea garden and the oldest tea garden in the district of Darjeeling. Still farmed by the original founding family, Makaibari produces an authentic, world-class, unblended Darjeeling tea without any artificial ingredients. This multiple-award winning tea vintage 2016 has elegant, long, full leaves that infuse several times. It offers the essence of Darjeeling and the lightness of a green tea, with an enormously satisfying cup. Use 1 teaspoon dried leaf (4-5g) per 6-ounce cup of spring water heated to 175-185°F, steeping 3 to 4 minutes.USDA issues your organic certification for the United States market

I've been drinking this tea for more than a year now and I love it. It's got a definite Darjeeling taste to it but also the freshness of green tea.

This tea is fun. It tastes kind of like a black darjeeling but much more mellow. The flavor is bright and clean with darjeeling floral overtones. I found very low temperature water (maybe 140°), lots of tea in the gaiwan, and short steepings work best. I usually infuse this tea three times.
