Organic jasmine teas are challenging because of the organic cultivation of the flowers. Sourcing organic tea is the easy part. Bi Luo Chun is a tea traditionally from Jiangsu province, however other provinces now produce this tea from the same small leaf cultivar. This batch vintage summer 2017 comes from Hubei, primarily because of the certified organic gardens there for this cultivar. The flowers were organically cultivated in Guangxi (the largest grower of jasmine flowers) and the tea was scented there. This new combination of Bi Luo Chun and jasmine flowers is an attempt to use higher quality base material for a flower scented tea. Scenting higher quality green teas requires several consecutive days of good weather (dry) for the best results. This one was scented 4 times. Bring 6 ounces spring water to a temperature of 80° to 90°C. (180° to 195°F.), pouring over 3g tea leaves (about one rounded teaspoon) for multiple short steepings. Repeat until the flavor begins to fade.USDA issues your organic certification for the United States market
