Jasmine Spiral Buds

Re-introduced after a long absence, this tea from Guangxi province in southern China sharing a border with Vietnam features a prominent jasmine bouquet nicely balanced with tea taste.  The jasmine flowers grown in this area have an earlier harvest and are used extensively to scent other well-known jasmine teas.  This spiral shape has become very popular recently in all tea categories.  It brews a tea liquor delicate in flavor.  Use 3 grams (1 rounded teaspoon) tea leaves per 6-ounce cup of spring water at a temperature of 80° to 90° C. (180° to 195° F.) and multiple short steepings.
