Chinese Yixing Ware Teapots

Each teapot comes with an attractive gift box and an informative sheet giving teapot history, care and use, and tea brewing instructions, both for Western and Chinese tastes.

For hundreds of years, aficionados of the many varieties of tea found in China have extolled Yixing teapots as superior to all other types for brewing it. With use, Yixing teapots develop a rich patina enhancing the taste, color, and aroma of fine tea. The flavors will continue to develop with use and the resulting steep will continue to be finer and more complex over time. With a well-aged Yixing teapot so much flavor is released from the walls that it is said you can periodically steep a pot of tea without adding any tea.
