Seasons for Tea
In some areas of the world, quality tea is produced nearly year-round. By and large, the best harvest seasons in most growing regions are spring and summer. On the buying side, this means we only have on shot to purchase the quantity of these particular teas you’ll need for one year. On the supply side, it means that when a source runs out, there’s truly none of the tea left until made again the following year.
Examples of seasonally harvested teas include:
Spring — Silver Needle, Bai Mu Dan, Dragon Well, Clouds & Mist, 1st Flush Darjeeling, China congou black
Summer — Sencha, 2nd Flush Darjeeling, Assam, Super Fancy oolong
Autumn — Ti Kwan Yin, Oolong Choice, Gunpowder
