A squirrel and grapevines, occasionally found on the backs of ancient bronze mirrors or in Chinese paintings,
are the inspiration for this dark green jade teapot. The high handle is carved to look like a vine
heavy with pendant grape clusters. The lid is shaped like an overturned leaf upon which rests a bunch
of grapes and squirrel with upturned tail. |
