This generous teapot of dusty grey-black zisha is made in a
shape reminiscent of a bell pepper. The spout, finial, and handle are
shaped to look like pepper plant stems. Although the teapot body shape is
contemporary, the spout shape and placement dates from the beginning of the
Ching Dynasty (1600-1700).
