Ming Dynasty Teapot

Ming Dynasty Teapot.
A stylishly arched handle accents this delightful teapot. The teapot has a globular belly which curves slightly inwards towards the flat base. The joining part of the curved spout and the belly is decorated with applied designs of a quatrefoil of persimmon's tip. The quadrangular handle with round corners is shaped like a bridge. This pot is modeled after one unearthed from the tomb of the eunuch Wu Jing of the Ming Dynasty at Majiashan outside the Zhonghua Gate of the Nanjing City (dated to 1533). (Price includes free shipping and handling within the continental United States.)
