China Black Teas

Black teas in China are grown in the Anhui, Fujian and Hunnan provinces. The most prominent black teas from China are Keemun and Yunnan. Keemun teas are from the Anhui province. Keemuns are known to have an orchid rose-like aroma and they are known as the "King of Red Teas." Teas from Yunnan are more like Assam -- full bodied. But the flavor of Yunnan teas are distinctly different than the ones from Assam, and are normally accompanied by floral and fruity flavors. They are generally mellow with moderate astringency and lie full on the palate.
